How Can severe Middle Back Pain Be Treated?

66 yom missed last step on ladder and fell landing on butt on concrete floor with rug. Severe pain in mid back on impact. Pain spanned width of back at the time but within 2/3 days no pain EXCEPT when rising from sitting position to standing. No pain when upright and standing or walking. Also painful when lying and try to turn over in bed One week now pasted

Hi,

I would suggest you should get an X-ray of the back done if not already done. If that is normal then you should not worry a lot.

Pain may occur for a few days. You can use some hot packs for the relief of the pain. You can also use some painkillers like Ibuprofen.

If there is any weakness in the legs or numbness immediately report to your doctor.
